William Thomas Radcliffe, Jr., 88, of Lookout Valley, passed away early April 30, 2024 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living after a short battle with cancer.

Bill lived in Chattanooga, from 1977 to the present. He was a native of Newport News, Va. Bill worked in a shipyard, on offshore oil rigs, and had a lifetime love for the ocean. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had a passion for flying airplanes. Bill loved the Lord and was an active member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church for decades.

Bill had five children with his wife Peggy who preceded him in death along with two of his sons Bill and Shaun. Bill and Peggy had 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Bill was loved by many people and was known as a bit of a character. He was a prolific teller of tales. His family takes comfort in knowing that Bill is now with his Lord and his loving wife of many years.

Donations may be made to the Chattanooga Rescue Mission in lieu of flowers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Lookout Valley Baptist Church. He will be interred at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
