Sale Creek Notches Fourth Straight District Finals Berth

Morgan No-Hits Copper Basin To Punch Region Ticket

It wasn't that long ago, Sale Creek baseball was more likely a one and done postseason type program, but over the past four seasons some of the loudest playoff roars have been via the Panthers. Sale Creek won its 11th straight game Friday night, no-hitting visiting Copper Basin in the process in a 15-0 run ruling to earn a spot in the District 5-A championship game for the fourth consecutive season. The Panthers added another notch to their school-record 24 wins and will play the winner of Saturday's Lookout Valley versus CSLA game in Monday's title bout at Sale Creek in a 6 o'clock first pitch. The Lookouts (7-16) held the Montgomery Biscuits (12-12) scoreless until the 9th inning on Thursday night at Riverwalk Stadium and held on for a 3-1 win.
