Chattanooga beach volleyball is set to fulfill some lifelong dreams this weekend in Gulf Shores, with the Mocs slated to take on North Florida on Friday, May 3 in the pinnacle of college beach volleyball, the NCAA Championships.
Friday’s opening round clash between the Mocs and the Ospreys marks the first time that UTC has ever participated in the NCAA Tournament, with Chattanooga having claimed both the Ohio Valley Conference regular season and tournament titles to secure their bid in the big dance.

17 seeded UTC will now have to face North Florida, who enter the tournament as the No. 16 seed after winning the ASUN regular season and tournament championships. A win over UNF on Friday morning would advance the Mocs to take on No. 1 overall seed USC later that day on Friday.
The Mocs and Ospreys are set to battle at 9 a.m. ET/8 a.m. CT in Gulf Shores, and a win would pit UTC against the Trojans at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT. Both of those matches will be available to watch via ESPNU, and specific streams for all five courts in Gulf Shores can be found on ESPN+.
UTC is aiming to become the first team in Ohio Valley Conference history to record a win in the NCAA Tournament, with the only other two trips by an OVC team being 3-0 losses for UT Martin. The Mocs enter their weekend in Gulf Shores on an eight-match winning streak, having found wins in 18 of their last 19 matches.
