Elementary Science Olympiad Returns Monday

  • Friday, May 3, 2024

The Elementary Science Olympiad is returning Monday, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Chattanooga State in the Omniplex.

It will feature 270 area elementary 3rd through 5th graders competing at Chattanooga State in 24 STEM-related activities.  Examples of competition include 3-2-1 Blastoff, Bridge-a-Roni and Straw Tower.

The Olympiad began in 2006 as a partnership between Chattanooga State, Hamilton County Schools and Tennessee American Water to spark an interest in the sciences at an early age.

The high energy competition is back after a pause due to the COVID pandemic.
