Pickleball Courts To Open At Gilbert-Stephenson Park In Fort Oglethorpe

Fort Oglethorpe announces the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Michael L. Housley Court Complex at Gilbert-Stephenson Park. Join the Catoosa Chamber of Commerce, city officials and anxious players on Wednesday, May 15 at 4 p.m.  

Officials said, "The ribbon-cutting ceremony will officially open 12 state-of-the-art pickleball courts and marks the culmination of months of planning, construction and community involvement to bring this exciting addition to our city. This complex offers an inviting space for pickleball enthusiasts of all skill levels to enjoy this rapidly growing sport.
Gilbert-Stephenson Park also has two new tennis courts, expanded parking and an upgraded Honeycutt Walking Track that encircles the pickleball complex."

"We are thrilled to unveil the Michael L. Housley Court Complex at Gilbert-Stephenson Park, a project that reflects our commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and community activity and engagement," said Fort Oglethorpe City Manager Molly F. Huhn.  

Additionally, guests are encouraged to explore all the amenities of Gilbert-Stephenson Park, including an all-inclusive playground, picnic pavilions, a sand volleyball court and a public pool.
